June 3rd - Day One

The first day was filled with a lot of plane travel but there were no problems. We first flew from Charlotte to Detroit and from there to Sao Paulo. I tried to get as much sleep as possible so that I would be prepared for our first day in Manaus. We were landing in Sao Paulo on the morning of the fourth and would not get into Manaus until the afternoon. Though much quicker than coming down by boat, plane travel can be pretty tiring. I imagine doing business abroad could get tiresome quickly if a job requires you to fly a lot. The use of Skype and Google's Hangout sessions are a great way to get around simple meetings with international clients and customers.
